Hi there! Welcome to woodfurniturebuilding.com. My name is Gary Savage, and I live in northern Louisiana. I’ve built many things in my life from wood, including furniture, sheds, fences, as well as homes. My occupation throughout my life has been residential design, and I’ve drawn thousands of homes in my area. You can visit planshoppe.net to get information concerning that aspect of my life.
When I’m not drawing, I’m usually outside building something using all the tremendous resources of wood available here. And that is the reason for beginning my blog… to share with others the potential of creating projects which can benefit the builder with a lifetime of use.
DIY is a fantastic way to obtain useful objects and structures with the main cost being your time. And your time and effort can become a hobby with benefits! Many hobbies do not have such residual benefits, but building something which can last a lifetime is a GREAT way to spend your spare time and continue to get ahead in life.
I love to learn, and enjoy sharing what I’ve learned with others in the hope that they can benefit themselves. I’ll be sharing some projects I’ve built, along with other personal stories that folks might find interesting and fun to read.
I’ll be updating this blog as often as possible, so please check back often by bookmarking this page and check my updates by clicking on the blog section on the left. Thanks for visiting, and let’s get busy!
